On Sunday the Suns U14 girls came from behind to win 57-51 against Team Solent Kestrels and qualify for the play-offs.
Despite being down most of the game, Head Coach Katie Richards said the team, "played smart and didn’t let the pressure fluster them”. The Suns ended the game with a decisive 20-9 fourth quarter to seal their spot in the play-offs.
Suns were led by 25 points from Evie Perry (including 5 three pointers!) and 13 points from Elodie De Jonge.
Coach Katie Richards shared her thoughts after the game: "They were all amazing. I'm so proud of how far they have come over the course of the season. And how well they dealt with the pressure in today’s game. It's such an honour to work with such a hard-working and positive group of young athletes.”
The Suns first round play-off match up will be announced soon. The future is bright.
