Report: SUNS DOMINATE EAGLES

Suns women dominated Newcastle Eagles at Surrey Sports Park on Saturday, 73-42. Cat Carr put in another all-around performance with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists. In a well-rounded display, Suns had four other players in double figures, Renee Busch with 16 points, Judit Fritz with 15, Frankie Wurtz with 12, and Julia Köppl with 10. Jamila Thompson added 4 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocked shots in 35 minutes of action. Head Coach, Len Busch had the following to say:

“That was a very good defensive performance. Anytime you hold a WBBL Team to less than 50 points is a good day. The team seems to be coming together nicely. We will get back to work and keep trying to get better.”

The Suns play Oaklands on Saturday the 23rd at 3 pm at Oaklands. The Suns next home game is Saturday, October 30th at Surrey Sports Park against the Nottingham Wildcats. That game tips at 1 pm. Come on out and support the defending WBBL League Champions.
