BRITISH TRIO ADD FURTHER DEPTH

Millie Stevens, Haylee Miller and Katie Richards will all suit up for Sevenoaks Suns in 2021-22, with the British trio on board for what promises to be another exciting campaign.

Both Stevens and Miller showed their worth last season as valuable role players for Suns, with the former returning to the sport having had a couple of years out of basketball after playing at Illinois State.

“Playing for the Suns brings me so much joy and always provides so many opportunities to grow, both as a player and a person,” explained Stevens.

“Last year showed so many of us that we should never take playing for granted and I know that we will make the most out of every moment we get on the court. Our roster this year is really exciting and I’m looking forward to seeing how we come together as a team to succeed in the upcoming season.”

Head Coach Len Busch added: “I have coached Millie since she was 11 years old and it is always joyful when the players return to play with Suns again.

“Haylee is an incredibly dedicated member of the club, who has battled back from multiple knee surgeries and will return for her sixth season as a Sun. Her dedication and resilience is most impressive and there will always be a spot for her with us.

“Katie Richards played junior basketball with us and spent one year in the States at Junior College in Nebraska and spent two years at Cardiff playing Division One.

“It is always nice when one of our junior players returns to play with the senior team and I am very happy to have Katie back.”

The addition of Stevens, Miller and Richards comes after the club previously confirmed Renee Busch, Cat Carr, Jamila Thompson, Julie Koppl, Judit Fritz and Frankie Wurtz on the roster for the upcoming season.
