National League for experienced players
The Sevenoaks Suns have one of the most successful National League programmes in England and the largest in Kent.
Playing in the National League requires good athleticism and a certain level of skills, depending on the age group. To join the National League Teams you should have some previous basketball experience having played in a club for a season or two.
Our members come from West Kent (Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, Tonbridge, Crowborough), South East London ( Bromley, Bexleyheath, Orpington, Dartford), Sussex (Crawley, Brighton, Eastbourne, Hastings), Surrey and London (Bromley, Croydon). Community Sessions - Basketball for All
According to Sports England, basketball is the second most widely played team sport in England & the fastest growing. It offers excellent cardio-conditioning activity and is often judged to be more demanding, from a cardio perspective, than rowing, swimming, and cross-country skiing. As part of our vision to increase awareness and participation in basketball in the South East, we run several development sessions open to all ages, genders, and abilities.
In our development sessions, we welcome every child (5-18 y.o.) that wants to learn how to play basketball. These sessions are for children that have never played before or have just tried it at school and want to learn more. Our development sessions help the children learn new skills and improve their athleticism. We play local games and participate in tournaments during the weekend.
