About
Sevenoaks Suns basketball club was founded in 2005 and entered both men and women teams in English Basketball League.
Women
Under-18 and Under-16 Women won their regional division
in 2005, and both reached the Final of their
Final Four, finishing as runners-up in both cases. Based
on this success, the club entered a team into EBL2 South in 2006.
Immediately successful, they won the National Trophy and finished second in EBL2 Women South, winning promotion to Division 1.
With the rapid success of Sevenoaks Suns first team, in winning promotion to Women's Division 1 after just one season in the league, the club entered a second-team into EBL2 South in 2007.
This team achieved a remarkable "double" when they emulated the feat of their first-team, in winning the National Trophy at the first attempt.
Men
Sevenoaks Suns entered Under-16 Men in 2005, finishing third in the South Conference in their first season. In 2006 they finished 3rd in the South Conference in both Under-18 and Under-16, and entered a team into EBL4 in 2007
